?Pandaw's third Laos ship, the Sabaidee, completed her 'river trials' this week and is running well and all in time for the inaugural voyage in early November.
Achieving speeds of 8knots upstream against a strong monsoon current we are confident she has the power to get us up river to China. To give you an idea of her power, this small ship has engines three times larger than our far bigger ships downstream on the Lower Mekong.
Built by a Thai-Laos-Myanmar team on the Laos side of the Golden Triangle we are very happy with the build quality and standard of fit out. Follow the construction story on this video link:

We still have good space for the intrepid traveller keen to see the white water Mekong as it flows through seemingly infinite ranges of mountains and forest.
